Fender has teamed-up with Guns N’ Roses’ bass more paly Duff McKagan and released a signature version of his old black ’80s Jazz Bass Special model. as its basis, They have tweaked it a little though and given some of the features of his current P Bass.
Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass
The whole Appetite For Destruction-era was massive for the band and really put them on the map. Duff held down all those low bass lines with an old ’80s Jazz Bass Special in black, he made it look cool in a punk kind of way and played it as he meant it. Tight. loose and dirty!

Now Fender has released a signature model version the Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass and it merges Precision and Jazz Bass pickups on to a Precision body. It looks really good in its stripped back, blacked out style and I think it could appeal to a lot of players. I’m liking the quartersawn maple neck with the rosewood fretboard and those cool block inlays, it looks mean, especially with the number 12 at the twelfth fret!
It also has a Pure Vintage 70s bridge and a neck plate with McKagan’s trademark skull ‘n’ crossbones emblem on it.
